Hurray! TODAY is the DAY - we are 5 years old! 5 years ago we launched our Perfume with a Purpose, Infinite No 1!🎂🥳
Such an exciting and simple statement, but it wasn't that simple, of course, because it never is simple to follow your dreams and achieve your goals. On this day of celebration, I'd love to take a moment and tell you our story...
The dream began in early March 2015 when, in wanting to be the best person for my 3-month-old daughter, she gave back to me belief in myself, and once I had this incredible, empowering feeling, I in-turn wanted to give that to every woman out there (YOU!).
6 months later I filed the business paperwork and started product development (I love this part - the creating fragrance part!)
I then got pregnant with our second baby girl, due that October. So, while I was creating a human life, I was also creating a business life😱
It was joyful, but also stressful to be pregnant, starting a business, and running around after an 18mo old. While the human body is amazing, it cannot do it all !
On Sept 11, 2016 I was admitted to the hospital with severe pre-eclampsia. I was 36 weeks, but the safest treatment option was to induce. Things went from bad to worse and I developed HELLP syndrome and nearly died. Yikes. Note to self: childbirth can be dangerous.
Thankfully, we had a skilled team who delivered our second daughter and kept me alive (phew!).
She was born September 12, 2016 and my courageous crew led the launch party of Infinite No 1 on September 15, 2016 while I was in the hospital.
It's been an extraordinary journey raising two daughters, creating luxury fine fragrances intended to bring you beauty and empowerment, growing a meaningful business, and growing myself as well.
I can't wait to see what the next 5 years (and more!) have in store for Ilsa Fragrances, The Infinite Collection, our Perfume with a Purpose, and YOU!
