One year ago founder Ilsa Manning almost died due to pregnancy complications. Since, we’ve discovered the US is the only developed country where the maternal mortality rate is rising. Today, on the anniversary of her survival and the birthday of Ilsa’s second daughter, Ilsa Fragrances will donate 5% of the net proceeds from sales to Every Mother Counts, the nonprofit founded by Christy Turlington Burns after she experienced childbirth complications that nearly resulted in her death.
